This seven-part HBO series follows the Marines of First Recon Battalion through the first 40 days of the Iraq war. Based on Evan Wright's investigative report for Rolling Stone magazine and his book of the same name, the series is based on a true story. First Recon Marine, Sgt. Rudy Reyes is the only actor cast in the miniseries to portray himself. Series premiered Sunday, July 13, 2009.
